With over two decades of professional medical expertise, Dr. John B. Adams offers patients access to state-of-the-art pain management, emphasizing a multidisciplinary approach to pain management utilizing precision injections, neuromodulation technology, physical therapy, clinical psychology and judicious use of medications including help with patients titrating off opiates (narcotic pain medications). Dr. Adams has been a part of Jackson (Mississippi’s) Neurosurgery Clinic since 2005. He continues to serve here in the full-time practice of interventional pain management. Prior to joining the JNC team, Dr. Adams had a wide range of experience in multiple facets of medical practice which give him a unique skill set in addition to his expertise in the field of Interventional Pain Management. Dr. Adams has served as a hospital Chief of Staff, emergency physician, rural family physician, medical missionary to Belize, and medical director for two hospice organizations. Always striving to stay at the forefront of innovation, Dr. Adams was the first physician in the state to utilize the CDS (Controlled Disc Stimulation) technology to help diagnose annular disc tears. He was also one of the first physicians in the state to utilize the Neurotherm Simplicity probe technology for the relief of the common but difficult problem of chronic sacroiliac joint pain. Dr. Adams also serves internationally as the medical adviser and a treating physician for International Servants Christian Mission in Belize and Special Guest Medical Speaker for multiple Christian organizations throughout Uganda.
