Suzanne Smith graduated with honors from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S in Biology and Chemistry. She received her Physician’s Assistant degree from Wake Forest University in 2000. After graduation from PA school she worked in Emergency Medicine in several different hospitals in Charlotte and Raleigh NC. In 2011, Suzanne Smith joined Dr. Andrea Pezzella at Southern Urogynecology. Suzanne is focused on helping women in the area of urinary urgency and frequency, incontinence, recurrent urinary tract infections, and interstitial cystitis. She is trained in the area of pelvic floor rehabilitation and performs these services in our office. Suzanne is expertly trained in the area of neuromodulation for urinary and fecal incontinence and manages our Interstim patients programming post operatively. She is also trained to do many non-invasive office procedures under the guidance of Dr. Pezzella. Suzanne is committed to helping Dr. Pezzella better serve the women of our community with all urogynecology related issues. Suzanne is married to Brandon Smith and is the mother to three children. She is very involved in their school and in our community and is an avid tennis player.
