Over the past ten years, I have incorporated holistic techniques such as acupuncture, naturopathy, TCM, health coaching, hypnosis and Western modalities, to maximize your success. I am also a trainer of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), a master NLP coach and a master Time Line Therapy practitioner, as well as a board certified School of Hypnosis and Instructor of Hypnotherapy. After working through my own journey of fertility challenges, SARS and cancer, I have pursued my Whole Health Medicine certification to bring peace and healing to those who come to see me. In a continuing effort to improve my patientsâ outcomes and with a yearning for ongoing learning, I am now working towards my certification through the Institute of Functional Medicine. I also recently contributed a chapter for the book, Empowering Women to Succeed, an international bestseller. I completed my MD in 1999, followed by specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology (FRCSC) and finally a two-year Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada fellowship in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (GREI), all at the University of Toronto. There are only a select group of physicians with this accreditation. I am a member of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology. My research has been presented at international meetings and been published in peer-reviewed journals. Prior to joining Dr. Dixonâs team at Anova Fertility & Reproductive Health, I was an associate physician at LifeQuest Centre for Reproductive Medicine, as well as at the Markham Fertility Centre. Thereafter, I worked as the Medical Director of Procrea Fertility Centre in Vaughan. I am an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University and I participate in teaching medical students about fertility. I have also been involved in helping fellows in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility prepare for their fellowship exams by participating in the program committee for REFINE (Fellowsâ Review and Development Program). I also hold courtesy hospital privileges at Mackenzie Health, Markham Stouffville Hospital and Southlake Regional Health Centre.
