Ms. Black is a native of Macon, Georgia, where she earned a B.S. in Nursing in 1999 from Georgia College. She followed that with a Masters in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner at Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University. After completing nursing school, Casey started her career at the Medical Center of Central Georgia level one trauma center Emergency Center. She continued to further her experience in the Intensive Care units. Casey also taught as an adjunct faculty at Gordon State and most recently at Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University. She has years of nursing experience in addition to five years working in orthopedics, treating sports medicine, acute injury, and orthopedic injuries.
