Sciatic vs. Piriformis Greetings All, Let me start out by giving the Team of Professionals at Pinnacle Integrative an 8 out of 5 stars. Here’s some back ground; I became associated with the Pinnacle Team through my wife who started one of Pinnacle’s wellness programs as a result of going to a Pinnacle seminar regarding Knee Pain and Knee Replacement options (just for your reference the Knee treatment was a success). Regarding my treatment; during my latest bout with Sciatic pain (Fall of 2016) and the visit to the usual doctors, one of the Physicians’ Assistant recommended and provided a referral for Acupuncture (what a shocker). You don’t need a referral to be seen at Pinnacle but I thought it to be remarkable that an AMA discipline regarded Acupuncture as a viable treatment (baby steps). With the referral in hand I knew exactly who to contact which set the wheels in motion with the team at Pinnacle. Questionnaires and forms were started and my Acupuncture treatment started the same day which rendered a favorable result. During the follow-on visits my different options for treatment were discussed during the reviews that happen periodically based on type of treatment. At this time I have completed the major treatment milestones of Acupuncture with a onetime treatment of the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) which seemed to accelerate the rejuvenating effects of the Acupuncture treatment. With the follow-on support from the team at Pinnacle it has been a very active summer and I look forward to an increase of lifestyle improvements. Prior to my teaming up with the folks a Pinnacle I have endured/suffered low back, hip socket and leg pain off and on for more than 15 years. On two separate occasions (a couple of years apart) I was brought to the ground by an immediate loss of support from my right leg. Sleeping was impossible due to the pain encountered in the horizontal position and my only means of mobility was the use of a walker for support, I got pretty good at sleeping standing up. The Surgeons diagnosis was a referral pain coming from the 2 inflamed muscles that crossover the Sciatic Nerve. The treatment was anti-inflammatories, pain killers and Physical Therapy. After a couple of months of that regiment the symptoms would recede to a nagging reminder of a potential flair-up. In closing; take command of your health and wellbeing you will feel better for it.
I am so grateful that I stumbled across Pinnacle Integrative Health! I could not lift my right arm for almost a year. My doctor was already suggesting surgery, but I wanted to see if other modalities could help before resorting to that. I met with Danny for an initial consultation and we mapped out a game plan using acupuncture. Danny was amazing – obviously very passionate about and really believes in what he does. I also always felt like he and I were collaborating about my progress vs. having a doctor telling me what to do. I finished 3 sessions and ended up signing up for more. Danny ended up trying new things in addition to acupuncture and at the end of 7 sessions (in addition to other modalities I was also doing), I could raise my arm above shoulder height! I plan on going back when I am able. Definitely recommend Danny.
My family are very grateful for Doc Daniel and Nurse Jennifer and the entire staff. My father who was in pain for 2 years is no longer in pain and it's just only been 3 weeks since he had the stem cell procedure followed by Acupuncture therapy. He is no longer using his cane and he is looking forward to live his life outside the house again. Mind you, my dad is 86 yo and never been happier. Thank you!
