Dr. Henry Norman Small is a Houston, Texas based orthopedic surgeon with over 29 years of experience in Orthopedic Surgery. He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1987, completed his Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in 1992 and his Fellowship in Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine at Southern California Orthopedic Institute in 1993. Dr. Small is trained in the preservation, investigation and restoration of the form and function of the extremities, spine and associated structures by medical, surgical and physical means. This includes patients with musculoskeletal problems such as congenital deformities, trauma, infections, tumors, metabolic disturbances of the musculoskeletal system, injuries and degenerative diseases of the spine, knee, hip, shoulder and elbow. Patients with primary and secondary muscular problems and the effects of central or peripheral nervous system lesions of the musculoskeletal system are also concerned in his line of work. Dr. Small finds great satisfaction and pride in helping patients resume their normal activities (pain-free!) following an injury or illness.
